HEADLINE: Family planning changes everything.
COPY: Surprisingly, the solution to a significant degree of human suffering, poverty, disease and death is as do-able as providing access to family planning. Family planning would offer voluntary contraception, pre- and post-natal health care, improved medical facilities and sex education in developing nations. It would allow men and women the freedom to plan their family size, easing the intense pressure on their health and quality of life. More than 150 million women in these countries have said they want to space pregnancies apart or limit childbearing, but have no access to birth control. Consequently, nearly 600,000 women die each year from pregnancy-related causes, while millions of their children die at birth, or from hunger and disease. Find out what the people of the United States can do to help. For while the problems are huge, they are not beyond our power to solve.
